New Columbarium Niches Available for Purchase

Abercorn Funeral Services is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of beautiful, stone-built Columbarium Niches designed to provide a secure and dignified final resting place for cremated remains.

Located at our Eastern Cemetery on Drum Terrace in Edinburgh, these 32 individual niches offer a permanent, accessible, and lasting memorial for families in the Edinburgh & Lothians community. The columbarium provides a unique backdrop with views across to the Hibernian FC Stadium.

Transparent Pricing for Lasting Peace

We understand that clarity on costs is essential when making these important decisions. Each niche is currently priced at £2,495 (inclusive of VAT). This price covers:

1. The purchase of the niche (for the permanent safekeeping of the urn).
2. The first innurment (placing the urn into the niche).
3. The initial inscription of the loved one’s name and dates onto the stone front.

These niches, crafted from high-quality stone, ensure that your loved one’s memory is preserved in a serene and lasting way.

Please Note: Due to the limited availability, we encourage early enquiries. While the initial purchase covers the first innurment and inscription, subsequent innurments and inscriptions will be charged separately (currently at approximately £250 each, subject to future minor increases).

Future Plans for Piershill Cemetery

Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce that, depending on the level of interest and demand shown for these new niches, we hope to purchase and install a further Columbarium for our Piershill Cemetery in the near future.
