Abercorn Named as a Finalist in the Scottish Funeral Awards 2026

We are incredibly honoured to share some wonderful news.

Abercorn Funeral Services & Memorials has been named as a finalist in the Scottish Funeral Awards 2026, in not one but two categories: Scotland’s Best Memorial Business and Scotland’s Best Funeral Director.

The Scottish Funeral Awards recognise outstanding service across Scotland’s funeral industry. Now in their sixth year, they have become one of the most respected events in the profession, bringing together funeral directors, memorial businesses, and care teams from across the country. This year’s Gala Final takes place on Friday 24th April 2026 at the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow.

To be nominated in two categories is something we are genuinely proud of. But when we think about what these nominations really mean, it always comes back to the families we have had the privilege of caring for. People who were going through one of the hardest moments of their lives, who trusted us to look after someone they loved, and who took the time afterwards to share their experience. That is where these nominations come from.

We are also proud members of Funeral Guide, a platform that only accepts reviews from families who have genuinely used a funeral director’s services. In a profession built entirely on trust, that matters deeply to us.

The Scotland’s Best Memorial Business category celebrates companies that combine craftsmanship and empathy to create lasting tributes for families. The Scotland’s Best Funeral Director award is the most prestigious of the night, honouring the very best in the profession across Scotland. To be considered in both is humbling.
